  • Cofounded The Simple Group, which manages a technology hedge fund that aids entrepreneurs in third world countries through microfinance loans.
  • Worked with a general partner to raise over $1 million for the fund.
  • Built Automa™, a high-frequency trading engine that parses loan information, conducts due diligence using machine learning algorithms, and invests capital from the fund in low risk, high social impact loans. With this technology, the fund has maintained not only a double digit annualized return but also a 0% default rate.
  • Designed and developed The Simple Group website (https://thesimplegroup.org) and realtime system dashboard using Node.js and Angular.

  • Added color selection and drag and drop features to OS X Yosemite Calendar and Reminders.
  • Worked extensively with the brand new Yosemite/iOS 8 app extensions API prior to its release to external developers, making the second app extension ever created and identifying blocking bugs.
